The very talented, and controversial Dixie Chicks trio has finally released their follow up CD to the largely popular 2002 release, Home.
Their latest release entitled Taking The Long Way comes after a somewhat turbulent couple of years for the Chicks following the fury that descended upon the group when lead singer Natalie Maines stated she was ashamed that President Bush was from her native Texas.
Those Anti-Bush comments initially spoken off the cuff in concert but then repeated in numerous interviews, earned her, and indeed the entire trio, plenty of enemies within the music community. Most notably from country music star Toby Keith.
The very talented Spanish guitar playing Marc Antoine has once again created some of the worlds most beautiful music with the release of his latest CD, Mediterraneo.
Antoine, now clearly on a roll, has developed himself into one of those rare musicians who upon hearing them gives you the impression that he is in total command of his instrument. Causing it to perform in a way that no one else can, or would dare try to duplicate.
I have myself been a big Marc Antoine fan for a few years now but this is by far the most awesome, creative and inspiring work he has produced.
The super talented trio, Sugarland has released their latest Country Music CD entitled Twice the Speed of Life and it is a good one.
Lead singer Jennifer Nettles vocals alone make this CD worth the price.
Toss in some sure winners like track 2, Baby Girl, and track 6, Down In Mississippi (Up To No Good) and Sugarland has another hugely successful release on their hands.
The range and variety of the songs on Twice the Speed of Life are very good. There’s a real good mix of sweet and poignant ballads to wild and spicy.
British born pianist and vocalist Jamie Cullum is a fresh new artist worth your attention.
He has released his second CD titled Catching Tales as a follow up to his fist outing Twentysomething.
I find Cullum’s music to be very refreshing because it’s not exactly jazz, pop, soul or even hip-hop. It’s kind of an amalgamation of all of the above mentioned genres and is very good. In today’s world who limits their music collection to just on genre anyway, and why would you.

I am very confident and happy to announce that I believe Toby Keith fans, and Contemporary Country fans alike will be pleased with this one. With the release of Big Dog Daddy Toby Keith’s artistic excellence is on full display as Keith has once again delivered a brilliant collection of tracks that could very well be him best work to date.
This CD grabs your attention right from the outset with High Maintenance Woman and doesn’t let go until the very last note of the very last song Hit It, which is another great track by the way.
Very talented Rock artist Bob Dylan has released him latest CD titled Time Out Of Mind and Wow! It’s good.
Time Out Of Mind opens with a great track, Love Sick, that I suspect will be heard on radio stations everywhere, and deservedly so. It really is a very nice track.
One of the refreshingly nice things about this CD is the way all of the participating artists seem to be really enjoying themselves. Combine that with the overall presentation and you’ve got one of Bob Dylan’s most impressive releases ever.
