The role of film editors was for a long period of time considered to be very trivial and they used to be expected as the one were more of a pair of hands that pieced the film together. 1. Contrary to current belief, keeping the audience awake is the biggest mistake a first time filmmaker can make. If viewers are asleep, they will never notice your other mistakes.
2. Waiting to get famous till after your movie is made is another error common among those new to the medium. Why do people pay to see and hear Jessica Simpson–this goes double for Ashlee? Because they?re already famous. While having people actually see your work is not advisable, you still want them to buy tickets or DVDs, and they are more likely to do that if they feel they already know you. Consider inviting hundreds to your wedding, then escape just before The Big Day and make up a story about being kidnapped.
The Omen is a film that was released on, of all dates, June 6th of 2006. This was a major promotional opportunity, due to the fact that the date in numerical format was 06/06/06. A remake, the original Omen was created in 1976 and directed by Richard Donner. These films were based off of a novel and the new movie was directed by John Moore. The film focuses on the life of a young boy named Damien who may or may not be the son of the devil. With heavy religious overtones, this film plays on our sense of fear by presenting a quiet, evil, and calculating young boy. The main conflict found within the movie is the disbelief of the boy’s father that his son could be the son of the devil. It is a moral dilemma faced by the man, played by Liev Schriber and his wife, played by Julia Styles, who truly gives a performance that you can sympathize with.

A Clockwork Orange is a movie directed by Stanley Kubrick. It?s an adoption of Anthony Burgess? satiric grotesque novel of the same name. The book was published in 1962 and the movie was made in 1971. Written by Anthony Burgess A Clockwork Orange is one of the most experimental, original, and controversial novels of the twentieth century. The basic questions of the freedom of will and choice are hidden in the dark satire of the violent tale. The main themes spotlighted in the film are violence in a police state, teen delinquency, technological control, and dehumanization. The film was prohibited in the beginning because of the violence scenes and Kubrick had to replace several scenes to get it R-rating mark. The question of the free will got the central place and passes as a red line through all the plot of the movie. Even take place in the near future. The story is told by the main character Alex who is a leader of a small group of teenagers who entertain themselves stealing, fighting, breaking into houses, killing and raping. Alex is described not only like a young gangster but also like a big music judge. He?s fond of classical music and Ludwig von Beethoven with his 9th Symphony is among his preferences. Violence and classical music make a very frightening mixture and make remember about the evil geniuses who preferred to torture and kill people listening to the music. The robe and beat not for money as they have enough of them. Like Alex says himself:

About Schmidt - 1 Star (Terrible)
Jack Nicholson is Warren Schmidt in this movie, an actuary whose angry, miserable life is interrupted by retirement and the sudden death of his wife when he discovers his life has no real meaning, and he has no real relationships to comfort him. Nicholson (as Schmidt) stays in character in this effort, but the 2 hour 5 minute movie is really about 2 hours and 3 minutes of being angry, miserable and negative, and then a moment of redemption at the end that comes from a 6-year-old boy in Tanzania he has sponsored.
