Well anyway I get pulled over the other day for failure to stop. I apparently did a California style stop and well the guy was not from California nor did he have a sense of humor? So, he said do you know why I pulled you over. I said yes of course. And he said; okay why?
I told him because the governmental jurisdiction of this area are spend thrifts wasting taxpayers money and they have given a directive to your police department to carry its own weight. There are too many lawyers filling up the local courts with BS lawsuits and calling for jury trials when they know their client is stone cold guilty and they need more revenue. Finally you pulled me over because I am white and you do not speak Spanish and are not allowed to ask anyone if they are a legal resident. Am, I right so far.
He said probably, but that is not why I pulled you over today. He said; What’s the matter kid, don’t you believe in stop signs? I told him that I use too but they are so littered that there were seven just to get out of this parking lot, then another for the service road and finally this one I stopped at to get to the main road. He said well, you are right, you did go past 7 stop signs not stopping at any of them until this one. Probably because I was behind you.
I told him no, the black and white colors of your car reminded me I just forgot to buy Oreo Cookies at the store, so I stopped to make an illegal U-turn to go back and get them. He said; Oh hell, that was the best one I heard all day he said. He started to walk back to the car turned around and said; Get out of here, but next time in my city at least make an attempt to stop at those signs, we do not want you hitting any of those kiddy car shopping carts in the lot. No wonder kids cannot drive these days look at the way mom drives those shopping carts. I smiled and we both had a laugh and he was off to his next call.
